March 7, 2008 Sockies

Since Sadie died this summer, Socks is the Alpha animal.  She has been consciously training us in these last months.  She is over 14 years old, but looks like a large kitten.

Last week my daughter’s dogs (Aliya lives downstairs) came up to visit.  They each weigh over 100 pounds.  Socks chased them out – first making herself as large as possible (you know, becoming 2-dimensional, with all hair raised) — and she scream-moaned.  Ebony & Goldie fought to be first down the stairs.

She started by tentativel taking one corner of the bed, which she now owns.  She meditates with us.  And makes it very clear that she allows us to show affection, but always remains aloof and rarely purrs.

She makes her demands known.  Recently she tells us that she needs a quarter pound of butter on the table that she can lick at leisure…insisting that it be put out in the morning.  She checks that it’s there and then leaves.  We don’t know if she comes back to it.  She’s the same way with going up to the attic (which is hers!!)  We open the door; she goes in and 6 seconds later comes out.  This is why cat doors were invented.

Her evolution is fascinating.

December 31, 2007 An Unexpected Christmas Gift

Politics is already in 2008 – They’re all focused on next – week, next state and Jan 20, 2009.

I have something to recommend.  Thanks to T Harv Eker, I listen to Chae Holmes.  Each week, he interviews someone really worth listening to.  He reserves the last 15 minutes for that person to sell something he offers.  Chet’s condition is that he offers a fantastic bargain.  Usually I shut off before that.

Two weeks ago, for the first time, Nancy listened.  The speaker was Paul Scheele.  He is one of the world’s foremost  (fill in the blank)….and he has invented and sells something called Paraliminals – I can’t describe them.  We bought 22 of them, each CD a focused meditation, NLP-ish, left-brain, right brain, integrative, hypnotic ..  We’ve only listened to two so far.  If you’ve ever thought about meditation — even if you haven’t, check this out.  Wow!!

December 20, 2007 Searching for My Mind

I listened to Paul Scheel yesterday and he completely opened my mind to possibilities that I couldn’t imagine… Just one statistic got me.  He says we receivew about 10 million bits of information a second and our conscious mind process about 40 bits.  I don’t care about the accuracy of the numbers.  Being off by a factor of 100 still blows my mind, even a thousand. 

A technology that can expand my processing ability by a factor of ten will thrill me.  I don’t know how much I will learn to learn.  I have expanded my ability to meditate using holosync and this notion of paraliminals greatly expands on that.  So I’m ending 2007 on a creative high.  First this notion of a radio voice and now an expanded mind (no, I’m not a fat head – c’mon).  It’s really been an exciting year for learning.  At least for a while I have to consolidate and process, but maybe not.  I love my paths.

November 30, 2007 The Last Day

This is the last day of my 4th time through my meditation ccycle – And it is a real hook; makes me rethink the rest.  To me it’s like a Law of Distraction — It is fundamental; I’ll say it simply – You speak ‘what’; God worries about ‘how.’.. Here’s a subset of it: I keep my mind and thoughts off “this world” and I place my entire focus on God within…..

And at the same time, I do what I do – sometimes my coaching, my marketing, my studies about joint ventures, about teleseminars, and so on.  I know I live in “this world” and I also live in the subtle domain– The challenge is  to not think about it — Focus on “what”, bless God for handling “how”.

Man proposes; God disposes; Man plans; God laughs.  Man markets; God sells.
