I lost a day somewhere – you know – a day here, a day there – Where does the time go?
I’ve re-written the first page of my coaching website and my job today is to put it in. I like what I have, but I’ve reexamined it and it doesn’t adequately say what you would get out of it and what distinguishes me from other coaches – so I’ll try again.
Last night I got a phone call from someone who was important to my growth about 35 years ago. I love when that happens – it creates a continuity – Life isn’t a series of disconnected events; there’s a flow to it. This is one of the things that technology makes real – such things as email and the continuity tools of web 2.0 facilitate and none of this existed in my early life.

Sunday morning with no relaxing. We’ve been living here for a little more than a year and when we first moved in we just stowed everything – unpacking, but not putting away. Well, this weekend we finally did the kitchen. Every surface was full so we could at least look at what needed to be packed, moved, or discarded..
And then Nancy had to leave for a meeting. “Before I go, could you make cole slaw?” Because we got cabbage and carrots from the farm yesterday. The request meant that I had to unload & load the dishwasher and put away several surfaces worth of stuff, then get out the cuisinart …
But I learned how to make sugarless cole slaw some years ago from Elaine Fox, a dear friend, now gone, and everyone loves it so I thought I’d pass it on. I never measure, I just taste and adjust.
Whiz up the cabbage and carrots. When I have, I also include radishes, sometimes even green pepper – not today. Now the secret ingredient. Chop an onion so fine that it is almost liquid – Add mayonnaise (For vegans, use soyannaise). The next secret ingredient is Balsamic vinegar - This turns the slaw brown. If this violates your esthetics, use white balsamic. Today, because of the farm, I also added celantro and basil – Add much pepper, mix and you’re the hit of the party.

The trick in growing is continuing to take on more and more and do it without pushing yourself out of your own life.
I said it as a ’complaint’ like this: If I read it all I can’t digest and fully use it. But if I don’t, I can’t use any; I won’t even know what I’m not using.
But that complaint is solvable, so I keep saying yes: Have a Great Life. Say ‘yes’ and deal with the overflow.
I bought Chet Holmes book – The Ultimate Sales Machine and I’ve met with a new coach for a few sessions – And I believe in that (after all, I am one)… so I have new action items in defining and being committing to handling new challenges. I’ve also taken on being on the team to lead Jack Canfield’s workshop on The Success Principles. And I’ve committed to read and use Jim Britt’s Do These Things and Get Rich, Lynne McTaggart’s The Intention Experiment and (for ‘fun’) Jill Nelson’s Straight, No Chaser.
The trick is to know I read what I see so to see what I see…It’s the next kind of creativity to learn.

I am on the board of the Global Abundance Alliance (best seen on our wiki, http://globalpromises.jot.com) - I have a wonderful conflict of contribution today. Our board meeting is this morning (even as I write this.) And this afternoon I will be at a community event hosted by the NJ,NY,Philadelphia failitators of the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium (www.awakeningthedreamer.org)
I know that to have a great life, just say “yes” (and then deal with the difficulties) and this is a wonderful example… I wouldn’t have it any other way. Nancy is in a similar “bind” this morning. She promised one daughter to handle some mending and shopping for her and my pregnant daughter to paint a bureau for her.
So in between everything. I prepared our famous Rice Salad for the community event and did the weekly house cleaning. Who ever said you relax more as you get older? You can just get more nimbly creative.

Once I had a green thumb. We lived in Ashfield, Mass. from 1972 – 1975 on 7 1/2 acres and we had a two-tier garden, one garden about 10 feet higher than the other. And we grew much of our food seasonally. I miss it. I’ve become suburbanized.
We still don’t grow our own food, but we belong to an organic food CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). This gives me an even greener thumb. — Every week Nancy and I go and visit our farm. We take what we’re allocated and we go and pick what we can – today it was specialty Basil, Okra, Raspberries and Flowers…. Snapdragons, Black-eyd Susans and Zinnias. Each week surprises us and our job is to use everything we get…not easy – we have to be creative.
Today, for example, I made a huge batch of sugarless cole slaw: I crushed an onion and add Balsamic vinegar (and I chop in carrots and radishes.) The ambience of the farm is wonderful. We don’t know anyone there, but we know everyone there. If there’s one near you – go for it. You’ll save money, save the earth and eat healthier and nutritiously.
There’s more of me on the web – Contribution Coaching, Writing for the Reading and Michael’s Articles are blogs. My site is www.michaellipp.com.
I’m doing another teleseminar on August 2nd (7:30 EDT) on The Law of Attraction. Register (free) on my site. You’ll find it’s well worth your time.

Last night I went to a meeting up in Philadelphia of several ‘groups’, one of which is a mastermind group, but this seemed like a preliminary get together of different levels of entrepreneur.- some newbies, some strugglers and some making it.
What lead me to search out a mastermind group was that I think there’ll be mutual benefit from my being in one. The more I think I know something, I’d better give it away, because I know I just learned more things that I don’t know. I also definitely need to hang out with people I admire.

I have a wonderful relationship with Nancy – my wife. I am her coach and she is mine. My coasching her is a ‘formal’ relationship- defined times and durations – i.e. she is a client; her coaching me is continuous – it is simply her commitment to me.
Last night we had the first of several teleseminars on exploring the Law of Attraction. Her insights really woke me up. She said, “my job is simply to be joyous – regardless of our circumstances.” And I got it. The universe is energy and its energy meshes with ours. Love begets love; joy begets joy. And that’s creativity…. that begets creativity.

I hope everyone blogs this today – I don’t remember where this rrequest came from – but I remember choosing to honor it. I am committerd to living sustainably and to have our world be sustainable. We have our new 3 R’s: Recycle, Reuse, Repair. Well – our organs can surely be re-used – to repair somone else’s. Doesn’t take much – just check the box on your license.
I’ll be back tomorrow. I’m creating a new book to use to attract my goals. It has 21 clear plastic inserts, to hold 3 goals in each of 7 categories: Income, Finance, Purely Personal, Health & Well-Being, Recreation, Contribution and Relationships. Each insert will have the goal and visual reminders of progress and the goal itself (like athletes for Health – an email saying I have a new subscriber to my site, and so forth)

It was creative – 48 years ago. But has nothing to do with today.
I had the onset of a miracle. Nearly 4 years ago I had a spike in blood pressure – How I found out was that my vision got very bad and my eye doctor sent me to the hospital… Well, I had ruptured blood vessels in my eyes. My right ewy healed; my left didn’t and morphed into maccular degeneration. I can’t see the E on the chart.
Until 3 days ago I was an absolute victim of the establishment. I had been to a number of specialists and they all agreed that the best I could do was keep it from getting worse. Three days ago I told Nancy that I would be able to see again. Today I saw a new eye doctor. He found cataracts in my eye. He’s scheduled surgery for the beginning of August, followed by a treatment of injections in the eye.
I don’t expect that it will be as good as the right eye, but I will see through both eyes. As far as I’m concerned, a miracle is about to happen and my speaking my will has caused it – Of course I’ll follow up in August.
No coincidence that I’m doing a telesemina Wednesday night (7:30PM EDT)on the Law of Attraction. There’s still time to register on my sight, www.michaellipp.com

I’m preparing for my teleclass on the Law of Attraction (Wednesday, July 18 7:30 EDT- see my website to register, www.michaellipp.com)Here is where creativity is organizing, not something I think of as creating.
It occurs to me that it’s something I frequently fail at. I prefer ‘off the cuff’ to preparation. When I was in high school we each had projects to read a poem to music in front of a mic. I decided to read The Congo (by Vachel Linday) , supported by a friend on Congas setting the beat. We rehearsed. The drums didn’t work and – I was so nervous that the rattling paper into the live mic was a highly disconcerting crackle. I recited the poem from memory – with no background music. I passed and was pissed.
Writing this, I can see the incident that soured me on preparation and I can finally see that it was incomplete preparation. Wednesday evening will be great
